Robyn and Luke, Friday 8th of May 2026 , Wedding at Hintlesham Golf Club

Some wedding days just have an effortless feel about them, and Robyn and Luke's wedding at Hintlesham Golf Club was exactly that.

From the moment I arrived, there was a relaxed excitement in the air. The morning began with all the little details that make a wedding day unique; elegant stationery, beautiful jewellery, perfume, and the finishing touches carefully laid out ready to be photographed. The soft sage green colour palette flowed throughout the day and perfectly complemented the surroundings of Hintlesham Golf Club.

Robyn spent the morning surrounded by her closest friends and family while hair and makeup preparations were underway. There was plenty of laughter, a few glasses of fizz, and those quiet moments where everything starts to feel real.

Once preparations were complete, it was time for the dress.

Seeing Robyn step into her gown was one of those moments that instantly changed the atmosphere in the room. Her bridesmaids gathered around, helping with the final details and sharing excited smiles as she saw everything come together for the first time. The combination of her lace gown, soft waves, and elegant accessories suited the day perfectly.

Meanwhile, Luke was greeting guests and waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Like most grooms, there was a mixture of anticipation and excitement as everyone took their seats. The ceremony room at Hintlesham Golf Club provided a warm and intimate setting, filled with family and friends eager to witness the next chapter of their story. Then came one of the most emotional moments of the day.As Robyn walked down the aisle, the emotion was written all over both of their faces. The smiles, the tears, and those fleeting glances between them made for some genuinely heartfelt photographs. The ceremony itself was full of emotion and laughter. You could see just how much these two mean to one another as they exchanged vows and rings surrounded by the people who matter most. After the official declarations, there was a beautiful moment as they stood together hand in hand, taking everything in before sharing their first kiss as husband and wife. The reaction from family and friends said it all.

One of the many reasons I enjoy photographing weddings at Hintlesham Golf Club is the variety of locations available for portraits.

After the ceremony, we took some time to explore the grounds and capture a relaxed selection of couple portraits. The beautiful open spaces, mature trees, winding pathways, and manicured golf course provide the perfect backdrop without ever feeling too formal.

Robyn and Luke were completely natural together. Whether walking hand in hand along the pathways, sharing a quiet moment beneath the trees, or simply enjoying a few minutes away from the celebrations, every photograph reflected their connection and personalities.

One of my favourite images from the day was captured beneath a large tree, with the couple framed by the surrounding greenery. It's a simple photograph, but one that perfectly captures the calm and happiness of the day.

We also created a few more creative portraits, including some striking black and white images that added a timeless feel to their wedding gallery.

Following the portraits, guests gathered outside to welcome the newlyweds. The confetti tunnel was full of energy, laughter, and huge smiles as Robyn and Luke made their way through a shower of colour. These moments always create some of the most joyful photographs of the day, and this wedding was no exception.

As the afternoon continued, guests enjoyed the beautiful weather and stunning surroundings while the celebrations carried on.

We took advantage of the grounds for a few more relaxed portraits before heading back to the reception. With the summer sunshine lighting the landscape, every corner of the venue provided another opportunity for beautiful photographs.

As daylight faded, the atmosphere shifted into full celebration mode. Guests filled the dance floor, drinks were flowing, and everyone settled into enjoying the evening together. Robyn changed into a second dress for the evening, ready to dance the night away with family and friends.

Before the night ended, we stepped outside one final time to create a dramatic evening portrait. With the fading light and open skies behind them, it was the perfect way to finish a fantastic day of wedding photography.

It was a pleasure to document their day from start to finish, and Hintlesham Golf Club once again proved why it's such a fantastic Suffolk wedding venue. Robyn and Luke, thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding day. It was an absolute privilege to be part of it.
